SKYRC Digital Diff Analyzer
SkyRC has presented a Diff Analyzer for setting up and fine-tuning the hardness of differentials for 1/10th scale cars and Mini-Z. The Diff Analyzer provides numeric data that can be used to assess or replicate a specific diff hardness. Changing the diff silicone oil will not be done by feel or by guessing anymore. This handy device helps measure the diff hardness, ensuring consistent hardness both after building and during setup. It can also be used to compare the hardness of multiple differentials.
The Diff Analyzer has a precision unibody enclosure crafted from a single block of aluminum with an anodized finish, resulting in a thinner, more durable, and incredibly beautiful design. It comes out of the box with an adapter that allows you to measure 1/10th scale and Mini-Z. An adapter for 1/8th scale can be purchased optionally. Inside, the key components allow it to spin and calculate every hardness of diff and every viscosity of silicone oil. The analyzer is powered by any universal Micro USB output or a power bank. The device comes in a pocketable dimension of 54x28x24.8mm weighing only 59g.
The viscosity of silicone oil is sensitive to temperature. So temperature variations can affect the measurement values. It is suggested to make the tests with similar temperature environments.
